Roné Greaves

Roné Greaves is an award-winning singer, craftsman, and a powerhouse founding member of Morrisania Band. As a key lead and background vocalist, her formidable harmonies are a cornerstone of the band’s sound. Her electrifying stage presence was instrumental in Morrisania Band being voted “Best Cover Band in the Bronx” for two consecutive years (2022, 2023), and she is the trusted voice who often closes out Morrisania Band shows with a soul-stirring rendition of Prince’s “Purple Rain”.

With Morrisania Band, Roné has commanded New York City’s biggest stages, headlining at the NYC Marathon, Summer on the Hudson at Riverside Park, and Opening Day for the Yankees (2026), as well as at the Bronx and Queens Night Markets. Her talent has also taken her on the road, with the band touring New Orleans in April 2025 to perform during the legendary French Quarter Fest week.

Roné’s artistic journey began at NYC’s Art & Design High School, where she majored in cartooning. Her creativity extends beyond music into the culinary world. After studying at Hudson County Community College and earning a culinary arts certificate from Hostos College, she worked in high-profile kitchens for chefs like the late Anne Burrell and prepped for Tanya Fields, executive director of The Black Feminist Project. These experiences grounded her art in a mission of community care, a philosophy also expressed through her handmade, small-batch self-care products.

From managing the band’s TikTok page to fostering kittens in her spare time, Roné embodies the spirit of a modern, multidisciplinary artist, blending her many talents into a singular, community-centered creative voice.
